PERSONALITY ! Lucy is a lovable dork; she’s sweet and somewhat innocent and loves hanging out with her friends. She loves getting the best out of things so whatever the situation is Lucy will try to make the best out of it. One thing Lucy loves is flowers she loves to arrange them and if she’s armed with a tub of Ben and Jerries she can sit outside all day arranging and cutting flowers for her shop, another thing Lucy likes helping others, she puts people before herself no matter what the situation is. She just can’t stand to see anyone upset and tries her best to make things right again. A lot of people would say she’s overly charitable. When she’s not at work she’s often seen helping people at the local homeless shelter which she helps run if they get an overspill of people she’ll give up her own bed for the night and sleep in her shop after all its the least she can do when people with no home need one for the night.
The downside of Lucy’s personality is that she’s easily taken advantage of; Lucy can come across naive and a bit to innocent for her own good, so while some find it simply adorable that she’d rather arrange flowers then do drugs or sleep about but others make her a target and can easily take advantage of her kindness.

HISTORYLucy is a foster child, who was taken from a pair of drug dealers in Odessa Texas little Lucy was not even one when she was placed in the system and thankfully quickly adopted by a wealthy couple from California. Debbie and Richard Louis’, who couldn’t conceive a child of their adopted Lucy and treated Lucy as if she was their own child, as Lucy was so young when she was fostered she grew up calling Debbie and Richard mom and dad whom nobody really minded since they were her mom and dad than her biological parents had ever been.
Debbie and Richard were really open with Lucy and told her of her adoption as soon as she was old enough to understand, at first of course like any other child she was shocked but understanding the circumstances grew to accept the fact and learned to live with it. She’s thought a few times of tracking down her mother and father, but the fact that her parents were addicts always sways her from the decision.
Lucy grew up a happy child; she had everything she wanted as the Louis’ were wealthy a family. With Debbie being a graphics artist and Richard a bestselling writer of crime novels money was hardly ever scarce.
She started school along with everyone else in California she enjoyed school but she wasn’t as smart as others; her worst subjects where: science, Maths and Geography, while she mainly excelled in Music, English and History. Lucy was always complimented on her outstanding kindness towards others, giving up anything she had that was of worth to those less fortunate, Debbie and Richard couldn’t understand it, especially after they bought her a brand new expensive bike and she gave it to a girl at school how couldn’t afford one. Needless to say, they learned to live with her charitable nature.
After completing high school, Lucy decided against attending university instead she followed her dream of opening her own florists and put half of the her weekly earnings into funding the local homeless shelter ! [/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

A strong smell of disinfectant and soap stunk through the lone ward of the medic wing. It was one of the reasons Lucy had retreated to the cosy insides of her office, she hated the smell it was just too strong for her senses, usually Lucy could block it out but today, she wrinkled her nose, it was just so gross. The other reason being Mona was on duty, they didn’t get along so Lucy had decided it would be best for the both of them if they avoided each other, completely.
She wasn’t dressed for work and instead she wore a casual stripy top and jeans, she’d just finished her shift so she’d gotten changed in the bathrooms of the medic wing, Lucy wasn’t one to lay about wearing her work clothes after work had finished, she couldn’t wait to get out of them preferring jeans and a comfy t-shirt to boring pants and a blouse. After all you had to be so much more careful while wearing proper work clothes, it made her wonder why they didn’t have little white coats like off the television when people worked in hospitals or labs, that way she’d be able to wear her jeans underneath it.
Her iPod headphones blared with the heavy guitar music of meatloaf, who’d become her personal favourite out of the CD’s that Andy had leant her, she’d enjoyed the others of course but Meatloaf there was something about the music that she really, really enjoyed. Almost as much as her precious Beatles, she flicked the forward button and pocketed the iPod humming to herself as she shuffled papers and other documents throwing them into the beige folder before filing it carefully in her bottom drawer carelessly.
It wasn’t like anyone had had any death defying an illness lately, the most exciting thing that had happened was an asthma attack and even that was simply a confused cougher.
Though it wasn’t as if she was praying for something terrible to happen to a student, of course not how could she? It was awful enough having to deal with minor wounds and injuries Lucy hated seeing people in pain. It was one of the reasons she’d chosen to become a doctor to help people, the winter ball had been bad enough and that poor teacher, she frowned sadly those terrorists really couldn’t leave the school alone but Lucy didn’t understand it, why would they want to destroy something that every race was a part of? But then again she knew better than others that some people would cause pain for no real reason, lowlifes that couldn’t deal with their own problems so they took them out on those closest to them. Her gaze dropped as her hand slipped to the second drawer on her desk before she snatched it away stupidly.
“Hey”
Lucy looked up pulling the headphones from her ears smiling brightly to see that Andy stood in her doorway.
“Hey.” she greeted jumping up from her seat as she shuffled the rest of untidy documents and other papers that littered her desk that mostly included finished pieces of paper work, (that she still had yet to file) other colourful documents full of prescriptions and dietary requirements for the students with allergies.
‘I…’ began Andy as Lucy turned back to face him, ‘I like your…’ there seemed to be a pause as Andy searched for the words, she watched as he tried to piece them together concern etching across her features; what if was ill? Was it common stutters linked with ailments; she’d have to research it later.
‘…Desk,’
“Oh thanks” said Lucy “its old mind, but I’m sure it appreciates the compliment” she added as her welsh twang rolling across the words, she thought about taking his temperature if he was poorly it would be the best way to check drawing closer she stopped short, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea after all most people weren’t accustomed to others suddenly lunging for their foreheads.
‘Well, what I was saying before was… Was… That it’s my sister’s birthday and there’s this CD she wants.’’
“Oh” said Lucy her smile returning as continued. Lucy was an only child so she’d never had to worry about getting her sibling’s presents, though she assumed it would probably be the same as getting your friends presents and Lucy used to love gift shopping. Especially the wrapping part, her grandmother would always let Lucy use her craft box for that which was full of pretty ribbons and light coloured paper that made the gift look amazing once it was wrapped and decorated properly.
‘So I was going to head to the music store soon. And I was – I was wondering... that because you’re not on shift now, and neither am I… I was wondering… if you would like to come with me. if… If you’re not too busy… or anything.’
“well... I’ve just finished my shift and I haven’t got anything else planned, so yeah” she grinned reaching below the desk for her bag “I’d love to come, you know I hear the town outside of Tiro has a music shop if you’d like to check that out?”
‘It-’ he quickly said, eyes growing wider. ‘It wouldn’t be like a – like a date or anything.’
“Okay then, it’ll be like two friends then” noted Lucy as she listened to Andy’s hurried explanation she chuckled softly.
“Its fine, I really would like to come” said Lucy as she led the way out of the office walking hurriedly past Mona who paid the two no attention as she carried on with her shift.
“If we’re going to the village, would you mind if we walked? It’s just I don’t have a car because it was totalled on the way to Tiro, I can’t drive that well you see...” she spoke stopping herself from unusually rambling on “it’s how I broke my arm” she added, the pointless lie burning a hole in her soul as the scar covered by her sleeves and charm bracelet told otherwise. She bit down on her bottom lip absentmindedly to stop it twitching. When her lip twitched it usually meant she was lying, Lucy was a terrible liar and her grandmother would always point out when she did as Lucy’s lips were the biggest give away, that and the stupid grin that her lips would curl up into followed by an uncontrollable laughter.
Pushing the door open the two started down the path to the town, it wasn’t far to walk about ten minutes if you took the short cut through the woods and Lucy knew that short cut well. She loved visiting the town it was all so peaceful and the setting and design of the town was like something from a Christmas card it had certainly looked that way during Winter.
“What type of music does your sister like?” asked Lucy as they finally made it onto the cobbled streets of the town “Is she a classic rock fan like us?”
She pushed the door open to the HMV her eyes sweeping the racks upon racks of CD’s; she loved this store it seemed to have everything. Not to mention the DVD collection was pretty wide too.
“Our mission begins” she said importantly before her eyes stopped on a Hans Zimmer CD, sure it was classical but Pirates of the Caribbean was epic. It was one of her favourite movies, and the sound track well it was just awesome, normally she wasn’t a fan of that genre but Hans Zimmer was the exception! She’d definitely have to get it later, as well as what over little gems she could find hidden away behind the more popular CD cases.
“We’ll definitely find her something” said Lucy scanning the aisle’s hell bent on helping Andy find the perfect gift !
